Glasgow Caledonian University is looking to appoint a Student Funding Wellbeing Advisor, to work within the Student Funding Team, based within the wider Student Enquiries, Advice and Events department. The Advisor will work closely with the wider Student Support Teams as well as relevant colleagues across all GCU Schools and professional support areas. This is to ensure that students have access to support and advice of the highest quality.

The purpose of this post is to provide advice and information on financial wellbeing. With the cost of living soaring, it is essential are students understand how to manage money, what support is available and how to manage their wellbeing in relations to finances. The role will focus on the promotions of funds, providing information, money saving tips and what support is available. Additionally, the post holder will run workshops, pops up and create social media content to support our student’s financial wellbeing, while keeping up to speed with any new initiatives or support that can help our students financially.


The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience in delivering financial wellbeing advice. The ability to exercise discretion and integrity while dealing with sensitive issues is essential. Whilst you will have the ability to work on your own initiative, to deliver creative solutions, with previous marketing experience. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to network and develop relationships.
